The BG CFEV5RDA-01 is a high-quality consumer unit designed specifically for electric vehicle (EV) charging installations. Housed in a robust, weatherproof metal enclosure with an IP65 rating, this unit is well-suited for both indoor and outdoor environments, offering reliable protection against dust and water jets.
This consumer unit comes pre-populated with a 100A Main Switch, a 40A 30mA Double Pole RCBO (Type A), and a Type 2 Surge Protection Device (SPD). The 100A main switch provides a strong disconnect mechanism, while the RCBO ensures comprehensive protection against both overcurrent and earth leakage, which is crucial for safe EV charging. The Type 2 SPD adds an extra layer of protection by guarding against transient overvoltage, which can be caused by lightning strikes or switching operations.

Installation is made easy with features like backed-out and retained terminal screws, and the unit includes a full enclosure kit with a DIN rail, neutral and earth terminals, labels, busbar, and cover blanks.
